Malcolm Thawne is a detective at the Central City Police Department and is the son of Henry and Nora Allen, twin brother of Barry Allen, adopted brother of Eddie Thawne and adopted ancestor of Eobard Thawne. Malcolm was born with the Meta-Human gene and his powers were activated when the particle accelerator exploded at S.T.A.R. Labs. Unlike his brother, Barry, Malcolm's powers will only be activated once he equips the Blue Flame Talisman.

Powers and Abilities[]
Powers[]
Blue Flame connection/Meta-human Physiology: Malcolm's powers comes from the Blue Flame, which alters his DNA and supercharges his cells, augmenting his physiology into a lean, but muscular frame that is well-beyond peak human condition. By using his connection to the Blue Flame, he can use his more advanced abilities.
- Pyrokinesis: Malcolm can generate and manipulate fire, where he can burst fire out of his body and sword, causing flames to leap out from himself.
- Energy Construct Creation: Malcolm can create objects from his blue flame, allowing him to create various objects, including a sword.
- Power Absorption: Malcolm can use his hatred from the Blue Flame to steal objects and powers from his enemies.
- Superhuman Speed: Malcolm can reach high speeds using the Blue Flame to steal his opponent's own speed, allowing him to use the speed force for a brief period of time.
- Accelerated healing factor: Malcolm can heal his injuries using the Blue Flame at a faster rate than speedsters.
Abilities[]
- Skilled Hand-to-Hand Combat: Since Malcolm received training from Adrian Chase, Malcolm has knowledge of unarmed and armed combat.
- Genius level intellect: Like Barry, Malcolm has a keen minded intellect, which is shown that he has a natural understanding and quick capacity to learn.
- Intimidation: As Cobalt Blue, Malcolm possesses an intimidating presence, allowing him to make his enemies fear him.
- Expert detective: As a police detective of Central City Police Department, Malcolm has proved himself to be a useful detective to his colleagues.
Former Weaknesses[]
- Obsession: Since Malcolm has a deep hatred for the Flash, allowing him to use the talisman, it can also be Malcolm's downfall, blinding him from the talisman's true purpose. Malcolm has since got over his obsession after rekindling his relationship with the Flash after finding out that he was his brother.
Equipment[]
- Blue Flame Talisman: Thawne can use the talisman to access his powers after the talisman was also exposed to the particle accelerator explosion along with Malcolm, which unlocked his meta-human gene.
- Cobalt Blue suit: Malcolm wears his own protective suit as Cobalt Blue, allowing him to conceal his identity while fighting crime.
