Daniel Patrick Cassidy, commonly known as Danny Chase, is a meta-human engineered by Project CADMUS with psychokinetic and multi-dimensional abilities as a DNAlien (genomorph), created as a binary clone between Francisco Ramon and the White Martian, Armek. He is a prominent member of the Outsiders.
History[]
Early Life[]
On march 21, 2016, Project Cadmus initiated Experiment "084". It was based on Project Match, an earlier attempt to clone Superman, with the intent on creating a loyal agent who would operate as an contingency plan to certain members of the Justice League. Instead of being designed to counteract Superman, 084 was designed to fight Green Martian, Barry Allen, and other interdimensional, transdimensional or extradimensional threats.
Using cells captured from Francisco Ramon and Armek (a powerful white martian), they successfully grew an adolescent binary clone between the two, but because of the incomplete DNA sequences they filled in gaps with an unknown biomimetic enzyme with diluted the martian side of his genealogy even further. This being the reason for why he cannot shapeshift.
For much of his life, he was kept within a containment pod filled with a cryogenically chilled gel-membrane matrix, along with three other genomorph prototypes. CADMUS scientists used synaptic transceivers to educate him with the knowledge of a boy within his physiological age, using brainwashing to induce psychosomatic programming underneath his subconscious. This sophisticated medical technology programmed his mind into a killing machine, a secret weapon that could destabilize entire countries, topple governments, infiltrate foreign powers, and assassinate heavily guarded operatives.
The base he was kept at was located in Markovia on the border of Siberia.
Cadmus Experiments[]
To unlock his metahuman abilities, Cadmus submerged him in a bath of liquid tar, acquired from the Bedlam Syndicate.
Later he started an intensive military and physical conditioning. In one occasion, while he was punching through the rocky walls in a secret mine in the mountains of Southern Markovia, he caused an earthquake which led to landslides above and destroyed part of a railroad track. Further exercises included parkour and running, lifting weights, an obstacle course, pull-ups, sit ups, push ups, mixed martial arts acumen, and more.
To test the strength of his psychic abilities, after some persuasion, Danny was forced into manipulating his Q-Waves to make all manner of vicious creatures docile and receptive to commands. After successfully turning a Maaldorian Dendroasp completely harmless, which was renowned as one of the most violent in the universe, Cadmus scientists rewarded him with 15 minutes outside in the sunlight.
Danny embraced the warmth and relished in it, immensely enjoying the rays shining on him, he stripped off his clothing and laid down on the moss-covered ground. When soldiers instructed him that his time was over, kicking dirt onto his face, he wanted to stay outside and irritated by their actions to the point he unintentionally channeled his anger to drive everyone nearby into a rage frenzy with them attacking each other. During this, the psychic echo he generated was so intense, it fried several psychic dampeners, an unbelievable feat given the fact they were designed specifically to reduce and restrain such powers.
Alarms blaring, soldiers rushed to confront him, armed with assault rifles and directing point laser lights at him. Blinded by the lights, he saw a vague figure approaching who simply spoke four words with overpowering authority and confidence; "Eto kuram na smekh." Which is Russian for "even chickens will laugh at that" - a Russian idiom meaning "that's absurd". He fell to the ground and everyone affected by his power followed suit.
When Danny awoke, he was handcuffed to a chair in the middle of a swimming pool with power cables layered everywhere. Informed that the room he was now in had over 30 power dampeners focused onto it, along with soldiers positioned with orders to shoot him if he moves, and a final contingent of electrifying the pool with several thousand volts. He remained here for days, with testing halted as they ran scans on his brain and the brains of those he infected.
DOD Raid[]
Sometime during his temporary imprisonment within the pool, the United States Department of Defense raided the CADMUS facility in Markovia and captured majority of the scientists as POW's. During their deeper explois into the underground caverns of the base, they uncovered "the boy" who had strange henna-like patterns on his back. Shining lights on him, they deduced him to be a prisoner or failed experiment, one of the soldiers noticed he was alive and immediately took off his heavy equipment and jumped in the freezing cold water to 'rescue' him. Struggling to get him off the chair, the metallic patterns on Danny's back began to move and shaped a spike to penetrate the handcuffs, allowing the soldier to carry his body to the side where he performed CPR techniques. While at least one soldier hanged by the pool and began to notice the seemingly great precautions to keep him there when suddenly Danny woke up and coughed up water as he was given a blanket to cover himself with.
At that exact moment the commanding officer arrived and ordered them back to base, "take the kid with you". During transit, one of them commented how lonely it can be in military service and how as a prisoner danny must know what it was like to be lonely, attempting to molest him and insult by calling him a "stray dog" implying that rescue equals a need to show his 'gratitude' with the soldiers hand reaching past the blanket and fondling the young danny. His eyes shined orange and he grabbed his arm, breaking the bone, and stealing his gun from the holster, shooting the three officers in the back of the truck.
Kicking open the door through use of his morphogenic construct, he jumped out while it was still moving at high speeds and rolled through the terrain. Walking through the barren land for days, slowly losing his stamina and ability to continue.
Star Labs[]
Eventually discovered passed out and severely dehydrated on the side of the road, Star Labs was alerted after paramedics observed his eyes glowing and sub-dermal surges of psionic energy, illuminating his skin as it passed throughout his nervous system.
Taken to a facility in Metropolis, Delaware, his recovery was overseen by Professor Emil Hamilton who discovered abnormal Q-Wave activity in his brain and inconsistent white blood cells throughout his body. Determining him to be some kind of hybrid.
He awoke in a loose fitting patient robe with a man over him saying that he was about to take some blood. Unaware of his surroundings, he attacked the medical staff and ARGUS security guards, taking on dozens of the staff members as he was being shot with tranquilizer darts.
Eventually, he relented and woke yet again to find himself strapped down to a bed. He attempted to rip the restraints off, but found himself unable. Professor Hamilton conversed him in conversation and talked him into calming down and to explore the facilities available. Agreeing to conditionally stay there and recover, as he realized there was little alternative.
2 weeks later, Dr. David Wilcox told him to levitate a trash can, prompting danny to slam the lid against the wall in frustration in his failure. They assessed that his telekinetic abilities were limited which led to the question of the unusually high q-wave readings. If his telekinesis was such, where did his psychokinetic strength lie?
This question was answered after exposure to Belle Reve Penitentiary inmates, he instinctively used his psychic inception to trap them in their own minds as a form of caged prison of illusions and torture, in the process completely bulldozing over the telepathic powers of one of them which led Star Labs to deduce him immune to other forms of psionic energy as his own overwhelms the other and cannibalizes it.
Making the questionable decision to leave him within the prison to observe his abilities in a high-stress environment of survival, they continued to observe him and make notable discoveries. The decision to incarcerate him here was devised after it became noted he had previously killed three United States soldiers, but was controversial amongst Star Labs scientists.
At one point, while he was inside Belle Reve Penitentiary, his CADMUS programming had kicked in and Dr Wilcox observed a complete change in his behaviour and attitude. The trigger had been an event in the communal showers. He later recalled being ambushed while showering, his memory showing him restrained and bent over in a suggestible position that he called exposed and vulnerable screaming in pain. Speculated to be a combination of both outright rape and penetration with foreign objects, he simply stated "They did things to me while i was forced to look at him. Nikolai Koslov."
Feeling helpless, humiliated, shamed. He closed his eyes and when he opened them, there was a darkness. A cold hungering soldier within his eyes that instantly snapped into control. Establishing dominance he effortlessly killed his attackers while two of them fled.
He went in front of various cops that were eating lunch and threw a can of beans to the window of the correction center, shattering the bullet proof glass, he sat with them as they pulled their taser guns and started to mock them. Using his programmed intelligence to bully them and run circles around them in a psychologically disarming manner. Deducing their personal life and making rude comments to instigate and antagonize them. When they inevitably attacked him, he efficiently cut through them, blocking their strikes and slamming them against the table, ragdolling them, or simply knocking them out with a series of bone-shattering strikes, kicks, and airway obstruction.
Now speaking russian, he muttered a phrase before closing his eyes and concentrating, resulting in glowing orange patterns spreading from his hands up his arms and chest to his forehead. Opening his eyes dramatically, they glowed as everyone in the prison suddenly stopped what they were doing. The mind controlled guard then released him from prison where he walked out.

Physical Appearance[]
Physically, Danny stands around 6 feet tall in height and is broad-shouldered and athletic muscular in slim build with athletic conditioning and distinctive abdominals. This build, alongside his short puffy / wavy dark brown hair, perfectly puts him into the description of "tall, dark and handsome." He has blistering blue-green eyes and weighs 85 kilograms, with a fair skin tone and speaks with a subtle russian-bulgarian accent.
Danny's measurements are as follows: 86cm inseam, 94cm chest, 76cm waist, and has a distinctive musky scent of sensual amber, warm vanilla, and pine.
A result of his good looks, he is often the object of sexual desire for most of the species he comes in contact with, appearing in his mid-to-late teenage years or so, possibly early twenties.

Boasting an active meta-gene, fostered from genetic engineering and geno-morph cloning, Danny is a metahuman with trace amounts of dark matter and x elements which altered and supercharged his DNA, cells and neurotransmitters. It also augmented his bones, joints, tissue and entire physiology well-beyond peak human condition to easily handle the rigors of his powers. Furthermore, due to the inclusion of White Martian cell specimens in the process of his cloning, Danny possesses inhuman abilities related from his alien heritage.
- Opti-Chroma Kinesis: When overcome with extreme emotions or suffering, as well as whenever he has a burst of adrenaline, Danny's eyes would shine with orange luminosity. Glowing patterns could also appear over his skin, such as on his hands, arms, and forehead. When using his power, Danny's irises would also glow, especially when concentrating it on specific targets.
Superhuman Endurance[]
Danny possesses superhuman resilience, most likely resulting from his White-Martian DNA. He can take impacts relatively unfazed that would easily kill normal humans. While not invulnerable nor immune to pain, he withstood powerful lightning bolts, concussive shock waves, sonic blasts and inhumanly strong strikes, only being momentarily stunned. He can also remain almost unharmed when falling from certain heights that would easily killed normal humans.
Furthermore, he has the capacity to withstand the physical effects of fatigue, allowing him to function much longer than normal humans unhindered, showing no change in breathing or pulse after hours of constant exertion. This is due to building far less lactic acid or fatigue toxins.
Without treatment, most injuries heal in under a day with no lingering signs. Even normally permanent damage, like paraplegia, is completely repaired within three days with his body able to break down food more efficiently and, as a result, expels very little waste products that he can exhale through his skin. Due to this, he ages much slower than normal humans and other meta-humans, able to survive for potentially centuries and due to his rapid healing factor he is immune to most types of diseases, sickness, drugs, poison, toxins, etc. 2,000 milligrams of horse tranquilizer only momentarily slowed him down until his body burned through it.

He has the ability to psionically influence inanimate objects and people as well as otherwise exert powerful mental force through gestures accompanied by concentration. After being tortured, he was able to pull his necklace to him, pulling the soldier who was wearing the chain in the process.
Telepathy/Empathy[]
The most prominent ability which Danny possesses. Based on Q-waves generated by the occipital lobe, Danny is one of the most powerful empaths on earth with telepathic abilities. He proved able to broadcast his thoughts and emotions with an alien aqua-plant, locusts, a fungal network, and dogs. Indicating at least an Earth-centric cladistic understanding, ability to communicate with three out of five kingdoms: fungus, plants, and animals, which is to say, everything multicellular. Rendering him immune to other forms of telepathic incursions, attacks, or interactions as his brain consumes their psionic energy attempts.
He stated he could "see" into people, able to read their personalities and look deep into their psyches, able to feel emotions and experiences from people within a matter of minutes, enough to construct a mental profile to psychologically antagonise and attack others. Furthermore, he could take this to a much more terrifying extent and deploy a form of illusory hypnosis, placing foes in a trance-like state resembling a coma or catatonia, in which they are forced to live in day-dream like visions of nightmares. It is implied there are residual foreign q-waves in the victims that are used to elicit fear or emotional pain.
On the genetic side, he could use a combination of his psychokinesis to thoughtfully manipulate a golden-brass substance that he referred to as his "construct", an artifact that resonated on the same level as Martian technology. With concentration, Danny could move the construct independently of his body, even when separated by a distance, although if it was damaged it took considerable mental strain to reform it. By connecting with it, as malleable metallic matter, he could form the construct into various melee weapons, a shield, or various versatile objects including a leg brace.
Multidimensional Awareness[]
Derived from Francisco Ramon's DNA, Danny could perceive various events throughout time and space, letting him see into the past and future as well as parallel dimensions, with an awareness that superseded the normal flow of time and space, allowing him to be extraordinarily sensitive to the space-time continuum itself and ultimately sense disruptions to it.
He could even regain memories from an alternate timeline and is able to access events through touching an individual or one of their personal possessions, experiencing visions that are typically hazy and dark, with a slightly distorted reality.
Most impressively, his awareness could be used to alter the interdimensional perspectives of others, boasting the ability to disrupt forces of nature such as the Speed Force with his mere presence, making him one of the few characters who poses a serious threat to Barry Allen and other speedsters.
Abilities[]
Danny is an extremely skilled and formidable hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist, excelling at improvisation and weapons handling, employing mixed martial arts that include elements of Boxing, Muay Thai, Jujitsu, Krav Maga, Judo, Taekwondo and Karate. His combat style was extremely unpredictable, proven as flexible and precise in his maneuvers, easily changing tactics and attack patterns to suit the situation to systematically take down his foes and deliver fatal or incapacitating blows. His combat preference is very brutal, using extreme methods, to incapacitate or outright slaughter his enemies with no display of mercy or hesitation.
He is also extremely intimidating. It was shown many times that mere threats can get him what he wants, and he can successfully intimidate a wide range of individuals.
He has a remarkable fortitude, unyielding to seemingly any form of torture, at times even seeming to revel in it.
Cadmus Conditioning[]
Described as 'bleeding edge', his mind was actually pulled apart in a virtual simulation where they added black boxes of "conditioning" between neural layers, before being put back together with his mind "different". This, enabling subconsciously controlled amnesia responses to trauma to help him overcome torture with a subconscious process that goes over his memories in his short term faculties as it’s transitioning to long term memories, dissecting everything to store as parts for the conditioning to assemble later to form a plan or answer a mystery.
Furthermore, this conditioning, resulted in a set of verbal commands that trigger specific actions in Danny. Specific commands could trigger him into a murderous frenzy, while others were designed against him; to turn his abilities back onto himself and send him to sleep.
Rationalised as removing his remorse, basically they turned him into a highly trained sociopath, but only when triggered. Under typical circumstances, he appears normal, but when triggered by stress, pain, or commands he becomes something else. Going beyond sociopathy, in fact. The instant this is triggered he believes that killing people is the fastest, most convenient method to achieve his goals meaning he'll start slaughtering left and right without remorse and with utmost efficiency.
